Alice and the Invaders, front cover!

The time has come to put a cover all up on this thing!

Essentially a summing up of "Alice and the Invaders From Wonderland" issue #1, a large part of which is set in the woods where our heroes go up against some vicious "Bandersnaches." Alice's action pose was something sketched several years ago, which author Bret M. Herholz dug out and suggested for a cover. I came up with the idea of adding the rest of the crew. Framing from inside the creature's mouth was a last minute thing, just to fill the top and bottom of the page.

Remember that bit in Jaws III where the camera is in the shark's mouth, looking out? Nope? Oh c'mon! Well, I won't force you to go through that shit again.

 This is the original, which exists on paper,

in a drawer, in the shed ...on planet Earth,

somewhere in the universe.

 Colour, based on the interior scene in question

but brightened up. For reasons that felt logical.

The text, also dug out from years ago, 

still works. Final one is cropped from the 

bottom. But that's my contribution done!

More images from the upcoming comic. Really pleased with how it's looking and how it pushes me to get creative in ways that I don't usually get from clients. Big shout out of course to author (and talented scribbler in his own right) Bret M. Herholz.

These images are pre-lettering, basically continues the story the Queen of Hearts invading our dimension and taking over. She's evil like that. Featuring The Mad hatter, The Cheshire Cat, The March Hare, The Dormouse and a "bandersnatch". Lots of "The's" ...I want to be a "The."

Tres important announcement!

Alice discovered Wonderland as we all know, but what would happen if its kooky inhabitants found the rabbit hole and invaded Earth?

Myself and author, Bret M. Herholz are currently "crowd funding" to support the creation and publication of a graphic novel. It will be drawn by me! Donating can lead not only to the product being made but also exclusive rewards.

The Graphic Novel "Alice and the Invaders From Wonderland" is a great concept and I'm keen to get stuck into something of this scale. IMPORTANTLY you can not only donate to the project but also purchase some artwork along the way. Prints and postcards featuring character designs by both myself and Bret (he's a fellow scribbler in his own right). All proceeds will be piled into the production costs.
